Wycombe Wanderers vs Tottenham Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in FA Cup Predictions
Championship side Wycombe Wanderers can look forward to some football action after weeks out of it due to positive Covid-19 tests. The side who are bottom of the table are set to host Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Monday. In their last football action on 9th January, Wycombe thrashed Preston North End 4-1. Emile Jakobsen’s penalty denied Wycombe a first clean sheet in 11 matches but by then the game was settled and Wycombe had their second win in 14 games. Each of their last four matches has produced over 2.5 goals and Wycombe have scored in each of their last five matches at home. They have three wins in their 13 home matches this season. Going to this game, the hosts have won just one of their last five FA Cup matches. With their Covid-19 tests set for Saturday, ahead of the Monday clash, manager Gareth Ainsworth is hoping he can have enough players available for the game.
This is just the second meeting between these two sides. In the first, in 2017, Wycombe almost shocked Spurs in a clash that ended 4-3 after Spurs scored twice in the final two minutes. Tottenham go to this game unbeaten in seven matches and having scored two or more goals in five of their last seven matches. They beat Marine 5-0 in the third round and will definitely find a bit more opposition playing a Championship side. However, Spurs, who have failed to score in just two of their last 15 matches, should be able to deal with the threat posed by the bottom placed side in the Championship. Going to this game though, the Premier League side may have to do without Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier, who are said to be major doubts. Dele Alli is ruled out.

Our Wycombe Wanderers vs Tottenham Prediction
Tottenham Hotspur are unbeaten in seven matches and doing well in the Premier League. They face a side who are bottom of the table in their first ever season in the Championship. Wycombe have not played much lately and have an inferior run against top flight sides. A Tottenham win seems written all over this game, while over 2.5 goals is also possible.
