Wolves vs Tottenham Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Devesh Jaganath in Premier League Predictions
The lunchtime kickoff in the Premier League on Saturday will see Wolverhampton Wanderers taking on Tottenham Hotspur at Molineux Stadium. The hosts are on 12 points after 11 matches and are currently in 14th place in the league standings. Spurs, on the other hand, will be looking to regain the lead in the top flight after suffering their first defeat of the season last week. The visitors are the clear favourites here, but can they bounce back to winning ways against a stubborn Wolves outfit?

Wolves - Tottenham: Form Analysis
After losing four of their first five matches in the current campaign, Wolves looked like they were going to struggle to avoid the drop again this season. However, they found their stride at the end of August and went on a run of five matches unbeaten to set themselves in the mid-table. During that time, the hosts secured an excellent victory, beating Manchester City 2-1 at this venue. They also held Aston Villa and Newcastle United to draws after that. Wolves last match, though, ended in a 2-1 defeat away to Sheffield United. Still, they are unbeaten in their last three at Molineux and cannot be ruled out of this match just yet.
Meanwhile, after a poor 2022-23 season and losing Harry Kane in the summer, Spurs were expected to struggle this season. However, Ange Postecoglou has been working his magic in North London. Hiss side have secured 26 points from a possible 33 this term. They are just one point behind Man City and two clear of Liverpool and Arsenal in third and fourth place, respectively. Spurs began the season unbeaten in their first 10 games but saw that record come to an end last week when they were beaten by rivals Chelsea 4-1 at home. Still, they will not let that result deter them, as they were reduced to nine men for most of the second half. The Lilywhites have won four and drawn two of their six away games this season and are heavily fancied to claim all three points in this one.

Wolves & Tottenham Squad Analysis
Gary O'Neil will have to make do without the services of his creative spark, Pedro Neto. The Portuguese midfielder picked up a hamstring injury a couple of weeks ago and is expected to be out until after the international break. Hugo Bueno is also sidelined with a hamstring injury. Joe Hodge has not featured this season and will only return to first-team training in the New Year.
Destiny Udogie and Cristian Romero were the players sent off last week against Chelsea and will not be eligible for selection in this match. Udogie was shown two yellows, which means he will miss just one match, while Romero will serve a three-match ban. Aside from them, Postecoglou has a fairly lengthy casualty list. Ben Davies, Manor Solomon, Alfie Whiteman, and Ivan Perisic are all set for extended periods on the sideline due to injuries. Hugo Lloris and Ryan Sessegnon have resumed training, but this match may have come too soon to see them return to action. James Maddison has been carrying a knock for several weeks and is a minor doubt for this one.

Our Wolves vs Tottenham Prediction
Spurs have been very good this season; however, they now have to face an improving Wolves side with a substantial injury list. The visitors will be without as many as five first-team defenders and are short of a recognized left-back, with Udogie, Sessegnon, Davies, and Perisic all on the treatment table. That could be an area Wolves will look to exploit but Spurs still carry a huge threat at the other end, with Son and Maddison in good form at the moment. This one could go either way, but we are backing both sides to find the net at least once. Our Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Tottenham Hotspur prediction: Both teams to score.
