Wolves vs Sheffield United Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

11th placed Wolves face Sheffield United, who are still bottom of the Premier League on goal difference from Burnley, on Sunday afternoon. The home fans will be keen to see their side win a home league game, having lost their previous two 3-4 to Manchester United and then a 0-2 defeat to Brentford. Wolves are not completely out of form however. They are unbeaten in their last five Premier League away games, plus one more in the FA Cup and that run has included two wins over Chelsea, plus wins over Spurs and Brentford. At home, Wolves have the 12th best record in the Premier League. Last time out they saw Joao Gomes score twice in a 2-1 victory over Tottenham on the road. They will also want revenge over the Blades as they were the first team to lose to Sheffield United this season back in November in a 2-1 defeat at Bramall Lane. 

I don't think it is unfair to say that Sheffield United's hopes of staying in the Premier League this season look bleak. They are bottom of the table, eight points off safety and to compound matters, have a goal difference (-43) that is 13 worse than the next poorest in the division. They conceded five goals at home for the third game in a row last weekend, when losing 5-0 to Brighton, that came just a few weeks after the Seagulls beat the Blades 5-2 in the FA Cup and sandwiched in between was a 5-0 win for Aston Villa at Bramall Lane. More positive was the Blades 3-1 win at Luton Town in their last away game, their first on the road this season.
