Wolverhampton Wanderers will be back at the Molineux this Sunday to host Newcastle United when the Premier League enters Round 6. The two sides head to the game separated by two points; sixth placed Wolves on nine and 13th placed Newcastle on seven points. Wolves had a slow start to the season, losing three of their opening four matches, among them against Stoke City in the Carabao Cup. However, they have managed to stabilize well with wins either side of the international break and head here straight from a 1-0 away win at Leeds United. After conceding seven goals in two matches, it was back to the drawing board for the team and the result has been two straight clean sheets. However, manager Nuno Espirito Santos will hope his charges can do the job much earlier in matches. In the last five matches, Wolves have not scored in the first half, while in the last 10, that has been achieved in just three matches. In all the matches they have scored first this season, they have gone on to win and when playing at home, they have nine clean sheets in the last 15 matches. Still at home, they have conceded more than a goal in just three of their last 15 matches – against Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool – and they have been able to score in 10 of the 15.

Newcastle United are coming from another losing outing, falling 4-1 to Manchester United, this in spite of having taken an early lead and being level all the way to the 86th minute. Three goals conceded in four minutes is a cause for concern, no matter how strong the opposition is. Newcastle United also have no clean sheet in their last four league matches and getting one at Molineux will be a tough call. They are however unbeaten away from home in three straight league matches, and in the two this season, they have a win and a draw. However, with just four wins in their last 15 away league matches, they may not come up as big favorites in this clash. In their last 10 away league matches, the Magpies have conceded 11 second half goals. Callum Wilson has been a revelation at the team and with four goals already, and he will be a man to watch here.
