Wolves - Manchester City: Form Analysis
Wolves have had a bad start to the season and currently find themselves just three points above the relegation zone. They have lost four of their six games and have so far registered four points. Gary O’Neil’s men were also eliminated from the League Cup in midweek as they went down 3-2 away to Ipswich. The loss extended their current run without a win to four matches with three of those ending in defeat. Wolves have lost the last six meetings with City, three of them as hosts. They have conceded 19 goals and scored just three times in this unwanted stretch.
Manchester City were dumped out of the League Cup by Newcastle after a 1-0 loss at St. James Park. The loss ended an eight-match winning streak. Pep Guardiola’s men, who have won all their six league matches, will seek an immediate response at the Molineux. City have a two-point cushion at the top of the standings. With second-placed Liverpool playing Tottenham in fourth also on Saturday, City could see their lead extended after this round. The visitors have again been exceptional on the offensive end and have scored the joint second-most goals in the league. Defensively however is where they have been most impressive and have conceded just three goals, the fewest tally so far.

Wolves & Manchester City Squad Analysis
Wolves will have to seek a win here without the services of Jean-Ricner Bellegarde who is suspended. The Frenchman was sent off against Luton last weekend. Pedro Neto has been in fine form for Gary O’Neil’s men and has had five goal involvements in the last four league games. The forward scored his first league goal in the draw with Luton and will be one of the go-to options here. Hwang Hee-chan is also another potential threat for City. The Korean striker is Wolves' top scorer this season. He has bagged five goals already with three coming in the league.
Manchester City will also have to do without midfield stalwart Rodri for this match due to suspension. The Spaniard was sent off last weekend in the 2-0 home win against Nottingham Forest. It is a big miss for the visitors who have had to do without captain Kevin de Bryune through injury. City though have a rich pool of players from which to pick. Erling Haaland scored a hat trick the last time these two teams met. As he has already scored eight times in the league, he will again seek to get on the scoresheet here. Haaland, like most first team players, was rested in their midweek League Cup game.
