The perfect Christmas present for Liverpool would be to be top of the Premier League. A win away at Wolverhampton Wanderers will take them four points clear at the top of the table and confirm top spot at Christmas. Liverpool have won their last five games in all competitions and only conceded twice while scoring 12. 2018 has seen them develop into title challengers thanks to some excellent signings in the last two transfer windows. They remain unbeaten for the season and their last 18 league games have seen them avoid defeat. Away form used to be a problem for Liverpool but they have won seven of their last nine and only concede five goals.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have had an up and down season but they are definitely on the up at present. They have recovered in recent weeks though with three straight league wins beating Chelsea, Newcastle and Bournemouth. Apart from the win against Chelsea, all of their wins have come against struggling sides and Liverpool most definitely aren't in that category.
