Wolves - Liverpool: Form Analysis
Wolves will seek an immediate response after suffering defeat in their last fixture. Gary O’Neil’s men were on the receiving end of a five-goal thriller away to Crystal Palace right before the September international break. The loss ended a two-game winning run that had also seen them score six goals without reply. Five of those goals were against Blackpool in the League Cup. Wolves have had a rocky start to the league and have managed only one win in their four matches. They have lost three times and sit just two points above the relegation zone. But as they have won four of their last six league fixtures at home, the Wanderers will fancy their chances here. Wolves won 3-0 the last time they hosted Liverpool which was back in February.
Liverpool are unbeaten in the league this season. They are one of six teams yet to lose a match. Jurgen Klopp’s men have won their last three matches. They beat Aston Villa 3-0 at home last time out and in so doing recorded their first clean sheet of the season. Liverpool are now unbeaten in 15 league matches since last season and have won 10 of those. The Reds are tied with three other teams on 10 points and will hope to wriggle away with a win here. Recent meetings with Wolves suggest they are prime to do just that. Liverpool have avoided defeat 10 times in the last 11 matches against Wolves and have won nine of those games.

Wolves & Liverpool Squad Analysis
Wolves have no fresh injury concerns for this match. Gary O’Neil will have the same squad that featured against Palace available to him. Irish midfielder Joe Hodge was injured in the League Cup against Blackpool and is still a doubt for contention. Hwang Hee-Chan has scored three goals already this season for Wolves with two coming in the league. Both his goals have come from the bench which means he could start as a sub here. Matheus Cunha scored his first of the season against Palace and could be deployed in attack again alongside Fabio Silva.
Liverpool will continue to be without captain Virgil van Dijk for the second game in a row due to suspension. The defender was red-carded against Newcastle two matchdays ago and was expected to return by now. But he has since been slapped with an extended suspension after he was found guilty of improper conduct during his sending off at St. James’ Park. Trent Alexander Arnold could join van Dijk on the sidelines for this match. The defender injured his hamstring against Aston Villa last time out and was forced to withdraw from England duty recently. Thiago Alcantara and Ibrima Konate remain long-term absentees. Mohammed Salah has scored three goals in the last five meetings with Wolves. The Egyptian has scored two goals already this season together with Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz.

Our Wolves vs Liverpool Prediction
Liverpool have been one of the top teams this season offensively but also have been caught out at the back more often. Wolves on the other hand have conceded more goals than matches played. Scoring goals however hasn’t been a problem for the hosts who have scored in four successive games. Our prediction for Wolverhampton Wanderers v Liverpool is for both teams to score.
Wolves vs Liverpool - Other Interesting Predictions
Liverpool to win
Liverpool have come out victorious in four of their last five visits to Wolves in all competitions. As they are on a three-match winning run at the moment, we settle for a Liverpool win here as our second prediction. Wolves’ three defeats in five matches adds to swaying us.
Both teams to receive 2+ cards
Wolves have received at least three yellow cards in every single one of their four league games. Liverpool have also seen multiple bookings and a red card in three of their four games. Combining the two leads to our third prediction that both teams will see at least two players booked.
