Wolves vs Liverpool Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by Daniel Ngulu in FA Cup Predictions
Wolverhampton Wanderers will host Liverpool in the two sides’ FA Cup replay after a 2-2 draw at Anfield in the first meeting. Wolves were denied what looked like a late winner in the first meeting of this tie, and here their aim will be to wrap it up well in time. They recently suffered a loss on post match penalties against Nottingham Forest and they will be keen to avoid another cup elimination. The home team is coming from a 1-0 win over West Ham United in the league and while it was their first win in five, it gives them a lot of confidence. Their spirits will also be high coming into this game after rising from the relegation region and they’ve only failed to score once in the last seven matches though they have just a clean sheet in their last five matches. Wolves have scored the opening goal in three of their last five matches.
Liverpool are coming from yet another disappointing outing, a 3-0 loss away to Brighton in their league game on Saturday. It hasn’t been the greatest of seasons for Liverpool and the loss to Brighton sunk them to a new low. In their last five matches they have no clean sheet and in the last three, they have conceded more than a goal. The loss to Brighton was the first time in five matches that they failed to score and it also marked the fourth straight time that they conceded the opening goal in their matches. Liverpool now have seen all their last five matches end in over 2.5 goals. In three of their last four away matches, Liverpool have conceded at least three goals, and lost all the three. They have no clean sheet in five away matches, each producing over 2.5 goals

Our Wolves vs Liverpool Prediction
Liverpool have had a poor run coming into this game and their confidence is definitely broken. They face a Wolves side that almost shocked them at Anfield and this time we expect a lot more caution from the Reds. Wolves go into this game straight from an uplifting win and will be targeting to advance here. In their matches, they’ve scored first in most and here they face a Liverpool side that has conceded the first goal in most of their recent matches. Our prediction for the Wolverhampton Wanderers v Liverpool is thus for the home team to score first.
