Wolves continue their push for a Champions League place when they host Bournemouth in the Premier League on Wednesday. Sixth in the table, Wolves are only behind fifth-placed Manchester United on goal difference. Bournemouth have the same barrier at the other end of the table in 18th place, only below West Ham and the safety of 17th on goal difference. Wolves won on their return from the coronavirus-induced break, triumphing 2-0 at West Ham. It was the introduction of the brilliant Adama Traore that changed the course of the game in the second half as he played a hand in both goals. Squad depth will play a huge part in the slew of games that are coming thick and fast over the next few weeks. Wolves have a squad of players able to cope with this barrage. Unbeaten in their last six Premier League games, Wolves have won three of the last four. Able to play with panache, they are also extremely difficult to beat. Only Liverpool (one defeat) have lost fewer games than Wolves (six) in the Premier League this season. They are unbeaten in their last three meetings with Bournemouth, winning two of those games. Surprisingly weak at home, that vulnerability may disappear altogether with games being played behind closed doors for the rest of the campaign.

Bournemouth are in a tailspin and they're short of options. They have even decided against playing Ryan Fraser for the rest of the season after the winger opted not to extend his contract in a short-term deal that would cover the rest of the season. It's a headache for Eddie Howe after watching his side fold far too easily in a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace. They didn't offer much in attack and goals will be required to get the points necessary for securing safety. Averaging less than a goal per game (29 in 30), the Cherries need to rethink their attacking strategy.
