Western Sydney Wanderers vs Sydney Prediction & Betting Tips - A-League

A club from Sydney will reach the semi-finals of the A-League play-offs. Western Sydney Wanderers host Sydney FC with the winners taking on Melbourne City in the last four. The home side finished fourth in the main season, a place and three points above their opponents. They had been in contention for a second place finish and that would have taken them straight into the play-off semi-finals. That wasn't to be though as Wanderers won only two of their last five fixtures. Their most recent match saw them lose 3-2 at table toppers Melbourne City after leading 1-0 and 2-1. They'll hope to get the opportunity for some revenge in the last four. This game has to be won first though and they will be confident of doing that. They played Sydney away last month and beat them 4-0.  Earlier this year they did lose 1-0 at home to Sydney. However, they'd been unbeaten in their six previous home games against Sydney. Home form is strong at present with four of the last five being won and 14 goals scored with three clean sheets being kept.

FC Sydney ended the main season in good form with an unbeaten run of five games. Only one of those was against a club that has finished in the top six. Their last three games have all been won and eight goals scored but against three of the bottom five. This is going to be a lot tougher for them and they have only won one of their last four away matches. Two of their last four away league games have been lost and another defeat looks likely here.
