Midweek Premier League action sees West Ham welcoming West Brom to the London Stadium for a Tuesday night game. As of early Sunday, the Hammers were ninth in the table with 29 points from 18 games. The European places are only a win or two away for David Moyes' side. West Brom are 19th in the table with 11 points from 18 matches; safety is five points away. Sam Allardyce will believe in his players' survival capabilities after watching them pick up the first win of his reign away to Wolves on Saturday. Big Sam would have been fearing the worst after back-to-back hammerings at the hands of Leeds and Arsenal. However, this 3-2 win at Molineux reminded everyone how good the Baggies could be, mainly on their travels. That victory was the third consecutive away game in which West Brom avoided defeat, the last two being at Manchester City and Liverpool respectively. Encouragingly for West Brom, they are unbeaten in five of their previous six matches away to West Ham, winning on their last visit in the FA Cup one year ago. 

West Ham look a lot better now than they did then though. Moyes has built this team with solid foundations, leading to a five-game unbeaten run in all competitions. Defeats have been rare for West Ham in recent times - they are unbeaten in 15 of their previous 19 games in all competitions. Only four Premier League teams have conceded fewer goals than West Ham, who have clean sheets in their last four matches in all competitions. They are unbeaten in nine of their previous ten home matches, taking points from Manchester City and Aston Villa. Two of the last three meetings between West Ham and West Brom featured fewer than two goals. We can see goals being at a premium once again in a match the Hammers are likelier to win.
