West Ham Women v Arsenal Women is a game of two teams with very contrasting form this season. The Hammers ladies are still waiting for their first home win this season, with both their wins coming on the road and they have picked up just one point at home all season long. Rehanne Skinner has at least seen her team win one more game than they managed in the previous season under Paul Konchesky, but it is relatively clear that they are not at the same level as the top teams in the Super League. Only Everton have scored fewer than the Hammers 13 goals this season. One positive is there 2-1 win at Bristol City last weekend Honoka Hayashi and Viviane Asseyi with the goals. That should give the team some confidence heading into this difficult game against the Gunners.

Arsenal Ladies lie third in the table at present, level on points with Manchester City, but with a worse goal difference, with both those teams trailing Chelsea by six points, although both do have a game in hand on the league leaders. Jonas Eidevall's team have wom nine of their 12 games so far, drawing one and losing two, one of those defeats a painful recent loss to Tottenham, where despite 31 shots on goal, the Gunners could not find the net. However, the return of Beth Mead and Vivianne Miediema from injury will bolster Arsenal's potency in front of goal. That was the case last week when Miedema scored the opener and Caitlin Foord the second as the Gunners recorded a 2-0 win over Liverpool at Prenton Park.
