West Ham in recent seasons have had a trend of spending big in the transfer market then making a slow start. This season has seen them earn four points from their three league games. That's left them in 14th place which sounds disappointing but they are only behind fifth place on goal difference. Of their three league games, only one has been lost and you can almost excuse a home loss to Manchester City. The Hammers then picked up their first point of the season with a 1-1 draw at Brighton and then won 3-1 at Watford last weekend. New signing Sebastien Haller scored twice in that win at Vicarage Road and looks a promising signing for them. Midweek saw West Ham win in the Carabao Cup at Newport County to extend their unbeaten run to three games. Home form in the Premier League makes that hopeful of being achieved with only two losses in the last ten.

Norwich City are 17th in the table and only a point behind West Ham. They began their season with a 4-1 loss at Anfield but then shocked Newcastle United with a 3-1 home victory. Last weekend saw them lose 3-2 at home to Chelsea. It got worse for them in midweek as they lost 1-0 at League Two Crawley Town in the Carabao Cup. Norwich have conceded eight goals in three league games and that isn't a good sign. The tip here is for a home win.
