West Ham welcomes Lyon to the London Stadium in this first leg tie of the Europa League quarter final. The home team came through the last round after beating Sevilla 2- 0 in the second leg for an aggregate win of 2-1. This was an upset win as Sevilla have been brilliant in this competition over the years. West ham beat Everton 2-1 in their last Premier League match, a win that saw them enter the Europa League qualification spots on the table. They are unbeaten in their last six home matches winning five and drawing one. West Ham have only lost once in their last nine home matches. This will be their first ever European match against Lyon and have only previously played one French team in Europe. West Ham are playing in their fifth quarter final in European competition progressing in three of the previous four.
