One result doesn't change a season but the 2-1 home win over Southampton on Monday has really helped West Ham. At 1-0 down they could have lost again and been stuck in mid-table. However, they came back to win 2-1 and that took the Hammers up to seventh in the table and just a point off the top six. The return of Carroll and Linzini is also great news for West Ham  who rather than saying they've gone six games without a win can now say they're six games unbeaten. There's even the possibility that top scorer Dimitri Payet could be back in the team and he's been really influential for the Hammers this season. Liverpool come into the game on the back of two straight 1-0 wins over Leicester and Sunderland. That's taken them to seventh in the table, a point and a place above West Ham. They have only won one of their last four away games in all competitions and West Ham will prove a lot harder assignment than relegation threatened Sunderland. West Ham have a good record against Liverpool and beat them 3-0 at Anfield earlier in the season. The Hammers are still inconsistent though and Liverpool aren't that hot on their away travels, I think  a bet on both teams to score is the safest option.
