West Ham vs Leicester Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Daniel Ngulu | in Premier League Predictions
West Ham United will be back at home to take on Leicester City after their impressive comeback against Newcastle United on Match Day 1 of the Premier League. Both sides will be seeking three points after opening wins. Leicester beat Wolves 1-0 at home and here they will be hoping to shock their hosts, who twice came from down in Newcastle to win 4-2. The Hammers have carried their preseason form to the league and go to this game unbeaten in 11 matches with eight wins. They have scored two or more goals in eight of their last 10 matches, while only failing to score in one. Seven of their last 10 matches have produced over 2.5 goals and they have three clean sheets in the last five matches. In the Premier League, West Ham are unbeaten in the last four matches, winning three, but have just one clean sheet in five. Both sides have actually scored in three of West Ham’s last five league matches. Going to this game, Arthur Masuaku is the major injury doubt but he is on the recovery path.
Jamie Vardy scored Leicester’s only goal in the win over Wolves; that served their third straight win and fourth unbeaten game. They go into this game with two straight clean sheets and having failed to score in just one of their last five matches. It hasn’t however been rosy away from home; the Foxes have one win in five – the Community Shield victory over Manchester City. Away from home in the Premier League, they have two wins in five, and one clean sheet; they have conceded two or more in three of the last five, but scored two or more in three. Four of their last five away league matches have produced over 2.5 goals. Apart from their shaky away form, the Foxes will have concerns over James Maddison, who suffered what looked like a back injury in the Wolves game. If absent, he will join Timothy Castagne and Jonny Evans in the treatment room while Westley Fofana remains a long term absentee and Ryan Bertrand tested positive for covid.

Our West Ham vs Leicester Prediction
Leicester City have kept clean sheets in their last two matches but here they will have to deal with a different brand of attacking football. West Ham have scored two or more in eight of 10 matches and will turn in their attacking best for this game. Leicester aren’t ones known for sitting back; they’ve scored two or more in three of the last five away league games. As a result, four of their last five away league matches have produced over 2.5 goals. With the scoring prowess on show, we will back this to produce over 2.5 goals.
