West Ham United, just like Cardiff City, have not had the best of seasons so far. They are on only four wins, one better than Cardiff and it will be interesting to see how the two sides take on this challenge with both coming from winning outings. The two teams are among the poorest defensively and have each managed just two clean sheets in the Premier League in the season. West Ham’s latest clean sheet came on Saturday in a 3 – 0 win over Newcastle United with Javier Hernandez scoring a brace. The Mexican will still be a key player when the Londoners face Cardiff. West Ham have picked eight points from a possible 15 in the last five matches while Cardiff have managed just six points from a possible 15. The Hammers have managed three goals or more in two of the last four home league matches but their last home match in the league ended in a 4 – 0 beating at the hands of Manchester City. They recovered in the win over Newcastle and facing a team buoyed with two wins in three outings will be interesting. Cardiff have conceded 10 goals in the last four away matches in the league while both their wins in the season have come at home, so they will be hoping for a first away win when they take on West Ham. Stretching back to 2013, Cardiff have managed just one away win in the league in 22 matches and in the process keeping just four clean sheets and just this season, they have managed one points from a possible 18 in the league. West Ham have managed eight wins in 22 home league matches and they are unbeaten in six matches against Cardiff, winning each one of them with Cardiff only picking wins in two of their last 11 meetings. In 27 meetings between the two sides, West Ham have managed 16 wins and Cardiff six.
