West Brom vs Hull Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Steve Ashfield | in Championship Predictions
Midweek had good news for both of these sides as they bid for promotion and try to avoid relegation. West Brom won at Sheffield Wednesday and the second-placed side in the Chanpionship host Hull City who are down in 19th. West Brom had a difficult looking away game at Sheffield Wednesday but came away with a 3-0 win. That victory ended a run of four league games without a win and no goals scored. After the midweek games, Albion are now five points clear of third-placed Brentford with six games remaining. Their hopes of a place in the top two automatic promotion spots are looking good again. They are only a point behind leaders Leeds United but that gap will be extended as the table toppers play at Blackburn the day before this match. West Brom just want to get back into the Premier League though and three more points against Hull will certainly help them. Only one of their last five home league games has been lost and they have won eight in the Championship at the Hawthorns.
Hull City have been in dreadful form of late but the last couple of days have cheered them up. Firstly, came the news that Wigan Athletic will be docked 12 points if not in the relegation zone at the end of the season. Financial reasons are the cause of their woes (more clubs may follow) and if those 12 points do get deducted, it would take them to the bottom of the Chamoionship. That would ease Hull City's relegation worries. Even better news came when they beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at home on Thursday . They trailed early on but fought back and got three vital points with a 92nd minute winner. That win took them out of the bottom three and they are now a point clear of the relegation zone (four if Wigan do lose those points). The win ended a run of 12 league games without a win. They had lost five league fixtures in a row, conceding 13 goals before Thursday's win. Away form isn't good at all with just two points from their last six league fixttures. Ten goals have been conceded in the last three and with West Brom finding their scoring touch again, go for a home win here.

Our West Brom vs Hull Prediction
West Brom ended a poor run with a win at Sheffield Wednesday. That will give them plenty of confidence, especially scoring three goals. They have a good, if not brilliant home record and will fancy their chances of three more points this weekend. Hull City also had an important win in midweek but it was at home against struggling Middlesbrough. They had been in appalling form with no league win since New Year's Day. Their away form is poor, so go for West Brom to get the points here.
