West Brom vs Aston Villa Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

West Bromwich Albion earned a great point at Manchester City on Tuesday and then sacked manager Slavan Bilic the next morning. Sam Allardyce is now in charge of Albion who are 19th and host Aston Villa who are 11th in the table but with games in hand. West Brom have only had one league win this season and that was against winless Sheffield United at home. Despite their lowly league position, they are only three points from safety. A couple of good results could change their situation dramatically. Something from this game would be handy though as their next game is Liverpool away from home. At least Albion are scoring goals on a consistent basis, though it was an own goal that got them the point at the Etihad. The trouble is they struggle to keep a clean sheet. Three times in home league games they have conceded at least three goals. Their last three league games have all seen both teams score.

Aston Villa are another of those sides that are puzzling their fans. Poor home results but four wins and one loss in away league games. That was a 2-1 defeat at West Ham and it’s the only away game in which they have conceded a goal. Compare that with 11 goals and three losses  at home. They dropped more points on Thursday, when being held to a goalless draw at Villa Park by Burnley. That left them 11th and five points behind the final Champions League place. Villa are rather unlikely to make it into Europe's top club competition but they do have two games in hand on fourth placed Leicester City. If they continue their good away form, then they can win this match and ruin Allardyce's first game in charge of West Brom.
