Watford vs Wolves Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Watford are up to 19th in the Premier League and only three points from safety. They begin 2020 with a home match against Wolverhampton Wanderers who are seventh in the table but only five points behind the final Champions League place. Watford were looking in a desperate situation a few weeks ago until the appointment of Nigel Pearson. Their last three games have produced seven points and they are no longer rooted to the bottom of the table. Survival now looks a distinct possiblilty and they have won their last two home league games. Three goals were scored against Aston Villa at the weekend, only the third time since December 2018 that they have scored three times in a home league match.

Wolves are battling to earn another season in Europe, perhaps even in the Champions League. They beat Manchester City and then only lost 1-0 at Liverpool with three of their top players on the bench. Three of their last five away league games have been won and the match at Anfield ended a run of eight successive games in which they scored. Both teams have scored in seven of their last nine away league matches. They always look capable of scoring goals on their travels but always seem to find a way of conceding too.  Strangely, in their last nine away league matches, only Manchester City have failed to score against them. A bet on both teams to score looks the one to make for this game.
