Watford vs Stoke Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Watford need to improve their home league form and hope to do so against Stoke City on Friday. The Hornets are 10th in the Championship with the visitors up to after their Boxing Day win at Birmingham City. Watford are currently only two points adrift of the final promotion play-off position in a typically tight Championship table. Boxing Day did not go well for them though with a 4-1 home loss inflicted on them by Stoke City. That was their second successive home league loss after previously being beaten by Ipswich Town. They have gone three home league games without a win but two have been against sides currently in the top three. Overall, Watford have won five of their 13 home league fixtures this season, drawing four and losing the same number. Six of their last nine Championship games at Vicarage Road have seen both teams get on the scoresheet.

Stoke City's Boxing Day was far better with a 3-1win at Birmingham City. They had been just a place above the relegation zone before that game and had gone nine league fixtures without a victory..The very welcome win on Tuesday has taken them to 18th position and seven points above the bottom three. There may not have been any recent wins for the Potters but they are unbeaten in their last four league games after three successive draws. Both teams have scored in three of their last four league fixtures. Each of their last four away games has seen both teams get on the scoresheet and we believe that'll become five after this match.
