Watford will be hosting Southampton on the 27th of matches in the English Premier League on Saturday 4th March at Vicarage Road. 13th placed Southampton have been a pale shadow of the past seasons with a number of key players having left in 2016 while 12th placed Watford have not had it easier either. They will be banking on a home record that has seen them pick two wins and as many draws plus a loss in the last five, scoring six and conceding the same number of goals. Watford last beat Southampton in 2008 and will want to end the six match winless run over the Saints. Southampton will not be heading to the game on a very good slate, coming from the loss to Manchester United in the EFL Cup final and a run of just one win in the last five games. The Saints have two wins and three losses in their last five away games, scoring eight and conceding six. Both sides will miss key players in the clash; Mauro Zarate, Costel Pantilimon, Noordin Amrabat and Roberto Pereyra are unavailable for Watford while Southampton will miss Charlie Austin, Virgil van Dijk, Alex McCarthy and Matt Targett. The two sides have met 26 times before, Watford picking 10 wins, one more than Southampton.
