Watford are the highest placed side of the three teams that were promoted from the Championship last season. They begin this game in 11th place, eight points off the Champions League places and eight above the relegation zone. In 12 games they have won four, drawn four and lost four but face a tough task here against a Manchester United side that will go top of the table if they can win this match. Only Stoke, West Brom and Aston Villa have scored less goals than Watford in the Premier League this season but only Man C, Man U and Arsenal have conceded less. Goals at home have been a bit of a problem for Watford with just three in six matches all scored by Ighalo. Four times in six games at home Watford have failed to score but four times they have kept a clean sheet. United have gone seven games without defeat since their loss to Arsenal (excluding a penalties defeat in the League Cup). Their last five games have seen them keep clean sheets but they've only managed three goals themselves and one of those was a penalty. United might leave a few players out of their side with a Champions League game coming up in midweek and I think the safest bet is on there being under 2.5 goals scored.
