Ipswich will be away to Watford on Tuesday in the English Championship seeking to regain top spot. They currently sit second after 20 rounds of play and are 20 points clear of 10th-placed Watford. Watford are in a good spell at the moment and will arrive here confident of beating the odds. Valerien Ismael’s charges haven’t lost in three outings and have been victorious twice. They drew 1-1 with Southampton last time out. The draw marked their 11th league match at home this season and extended their current unbeaten record at Vicarage Round to five games. Watford have amassed 28 points and a win here could see them end the round in the top six.

Ipswich Town can move back to top spot with a win here. Kieran McKenna’s men trail leaders Leicester by a point after accumulating 48 points thanks to 15 wins and three draws. The Blues have been in good form this month after a difficult November. They have won three games on the spin with the latest being a 2-0 success away to Middlesbrough. That win ended a three-game run without an away victory. A run that saw them lose once and concede twice in each game. Ipswich have a seven-point cushion between them and third-placed Leeds. Winning here is therefore a priority to avoid it being crowded at the top. This will be the Tractor Boys’ first trip to Watford in eight years.
