Watford vs Crystal Palace Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Steve Ashfield | in Premier League Predictions
Twelfth placed Watford are nine points clear of the bottom three so are virtually safe but they will probably be glad when another inconsistent season comes to an end. They have no wins in their last five league games with just one point earned. Their last league win was in early March when they beat bottom of the table West Brom at home. It's home form that has kept them out of relegation trouble because after a promising start to the season the Hornets have a single point from their last ten away matches. At Vicarage Road though, they have won six, drawn five and lost six with only one loss in their last six but only one point from the last two. Scoring is a problem too with just five in the last eight and in terms of clean sheets, just one in the last six against West Brom.
Crystal Palace held on against Brighton last week for an invaluable 3-2 home win. That took them to 16th in the table six points above the bottom three but from a game more than two of the teams below them, Swansea and Southampton who are in 18th. A win here would go a long way towards securing the Premier League safety that looked so unlikely after losing their first seven league matches. Palace have only lost one of their last four league games, a last gasp loss at home to Liverpool. Away form was dreadful at the start of the season but they have four points from their last two on the road and after failing to score in their first eight away league matches have found the net in the last nine. Palace have the need for points and especially if Zaha continues his good form, they can win this match.

Our Watford vs Crystal Palace Prediction
A form guide for the last 20 league games has Palace in 11th compared to 17th for Watford. Palace don't have that hard a run-in with two games against sides in the bottom three and could finish as high as 12th in the table. They are in good form and that's something that can't be said about their opponents who are limping towards the end of the season. Go for Palace to boost their survival hopes with an away win at Vicarage Road.
