Chelsea had a nightmare start to the season last year and never really recovered from it. No European football this season makes me think they are going to be major title challengers this season. They certainly got off to a promising start with a 2-1 home win over West Ham. It took a late goal from Costa to get the win but if he's in form this season, then Chelsea really can mount a title challenge. While Chelsea were struggling in the early part of last season, Watford were doing pretty well and a challenge for a European spot looked possible at one time. Then it all went wrong and for the second half of the season they played like relegation candidates. They never quite got dragged into a relegation battle but this season could be a lot harder for them.  Watford managed a 1-1 draw at Southampton on Saturday but a better side would probably have beaten them. Chelsea are definitely better than ever-selling Southampton and can make it two wins out of two with a victory at Vicarage Road.
