Watford vs Burnley Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Watford look to be on their way back to the Championship. They are 19th in the table and host Burnley who are 17th. They begin the weekend nine points behind their opponents who are the side they need to catch to get out of the bottom three. It's all but ten points because of their dreadful goal difference. The Hornets have only won six league games this season, so to ask them to get three or four from the last five is asking a heck of a lot. Home form is not helping them in their bid to avoid relegation. They have lost their last 10 home games in the Premier League with seven goals scored and 27 conceded. Not what fans expected after beating Manchester United 4-1. In all but one of those losses have they conceded at least twice. The last four home league matches has seen them concede 12 goals.

A win for Burnley would really boost further their survival hopes. They have had home wins over Southampton and Wolves in their last two games. That’s taken them out of the bottom three and a win at Vicarage Road will see them go five points clear of 18th placed Everton but from a game more. Their away form is poor though with only one league win at Brighton. Seven have been drawn but eight lost. Only 13 away league goals have been scored by them this season. It’s a long-term problem with just one of the last 17 away league fixtures ending in success. The recent good form shown at home has to be reproduced on the road. Five of their last six away league games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them and in the last 11 played, only at Brighton have they scored more than once in a game. Burnley's decision to sack their manager has worked and they can get an away win to all but doom Watford to relegation.
