Wales vs Switzerland Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro
by Nella Wagah | in Euro Predictions
Wales finished second in their qualification group while Switzerland were top in theirs but at Euro 2021 all that won’t matter much, as they seek the Group A ticket to the next round. Drawn in a pool that has Italy and Turkey too, these two nations will hope to go to the second game with three points in the bag. The two nations had contrasting outcomes in their warm up matches; Wales bad, Switzerland good. Wales lost one and drew the other of their two warmup matches. They were thrashed 3-0 by France before playing to a 0-0 draw with Albania, further, they haven’t scored more than a goal in 12 of their last 13 matches. However. They have seven clean sheets in their last 10 matches while seven of their last 10 matches have produced under 2.5 goals.
Switzerland go to this game having won their two warm up matches, the most recent a 7-0 thrashing of Liechtenstein. They’ve actually won each of their last six matches and are unbeaten in the last seven. In five of their six straight wins, Switzerland have scored two or more goals and three of the six have produced clean sheets. The recent matches, though some against very weak opponents, have shown a massive improvement for Switzerland. In the earlier seven matches before going on a six-game winning streak, they had no win nor clean sheet and had in four matches, conceded two or more.

Our Wales vs Switzerland Prediction
Switzerland have really improved and they’ve been free scoring. Wales didn't do so well in the warm up matches and it is expected they'll target attacking on the counter. Both sides are tight at the back, which may have an impact on the goals market. Wales have managed lots of clean sheets lately, though they don’t score a lot, while Switzeland remains a formidable side, and we feel a draw is possible here.
