Wales vs Czechia Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by Nella Wagah | in World Cup Predictions
As Wales missed in action this weekend in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, they were at home to host Mexico in a friendly match, which the Welsh won 1-0. Now they turn their focus to a home game against Czech Republic, their second in Group E. Wales are seeking their first point(s) in the group while Czech are already on four, and top the group. The win over Mexico was Wales’ third in four matches and after opening their qualification campaign with a 3-1 loss in Belgium, they will be hoping to avoid another loss. Even with the wealth in attacking talent, Wales have not been really expressive in attack, scoring more than one goal in just one of the last 10 matches. At home, they’re unbeaten in the last 11 matches but scored more than a goal in just three of the 11. Kieffer Moore’s goal gave them the slim win over Mexico and he has now scored in the last two home matches. He will be the man relied upon upfront. Aaron Ramsey is injured and out of this game but the side has enough personnel to fill in. Defensively, they’ve done well at home in recent matches, keeping four clean sheets in five but in World Cup qualification matches, they have two straight losses. In 13 World Cup qualification matches at home, Wales have lost seven and conceded two or more goals in six. They’ve scored more than one goal in just one of eight World Cup qualification matches.
Czech Republic tops this group jointly with Belgium after the two nations drew 1-1 on Saturday. They head to this game unbeaten in four matches, having won three of them. Against Belgium, Luka Provod scored the opener for Czech Republic in the 50th minute but the lead lasted just 10 minutes. They have six wins in the last 10 matches but have one win and two losses in the last three away matches while they’ve been fairly good in attack, scoring two or more in five of the last 10 away matches. Czech Republic have failed to score in just two of their last 10 matches and in World Cup qualification matches, they haven’t lost in the last four, winning three. They have three wins and a loss in their last five away matches in World Cup qualification matches, though these were against much weaker teams compared to Wales.

Our Wales vs Czechia Prediction
Wales haven’t been scoring a lot of goals, and that may affect their chances in the qualifiers. They’ve scored more than a goal in just one of their last 10 matches, and meet Czech who have scored two or more in five of their last 10 away matches. However, Wales have a great record at home and will be hoping it comes to the fore here against a side that has done well lately in away qualification matches. A scoring draw looks very possible here.
