Wales are currently in third position in the group with 11 points from six matches while Belarus are bottom of the group on three points from seven matches. The home team started their qualifying campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Belgium but have been unbeaten in their next five matches since that defeat. They have a game in hand over third place Czech Republic who are also on 11 points but have a better goal difference.
