Vitesse vs PSV Eindhoven Prediction & Betting Tips - Eredivisie

Vitesse will be hoping to cause an early season upset in the Eredivisie when they play host to PSV on Saturday evening. Both sides won their opening match of the campaign last week, and the hosts are currently in eighth place while the visitors are in fifth. Vitesse come into this match off the back of a 2-1 over Volendam last week with goals from Mathijs Tielemans and Marco van Ginkel. Vitesse have struggled against this opponent and are winless in their last five encounters. While they do have the home-field advantage here, they are 6/1 outsiders, according to the bookies. 

Meanwhile, PSV began their Eredivisie season with a solid 2-0 win over Utrecht last week with goals from Noa Lang and Yorbe Vertessen. They also retained the Super Cup at the start of the month, beating league champions Feyenoord 1-0. Between those games, PSV have been involved in Champions League action and eased past Austrian outfit Sturm Graz 7-2 on aggregate. They will face Rangers in the playoff round and come into this match on a four-match winning streak in all competitions this season. Over the course of last season, PSV accumulated 75 points in the league, which was seven behind the league winners and six above Ajax in third place. The visitors were unbeaten in their final 15 league games of the season, winning 11 and drawing four. They also won the KNVB Cup for the 11th time, beating Ajax on penalties. PSV have outscored this opponent 12-2 in their last five encounters, which include four wins and a draw, and they will be heavily backed to claim another three points in this one.
