Relegation-threatened Cadiz will travel to the Estadi de la Ceràmica to take on Villarreal in a Sunday LaLiga clash. Cadiz are 18th placed heading into this game, with just 16 points, while Villarreal are 14th with seven points more. The hosts’ inconsistent season has seen them lose half of their 22 league games while winning six and drawing five. The Yellow Submarines are however coming from a morale-boosting 5-3 win over Barcelona in their last outing. Alexander Sorloth and Jose Luis Morales scored deep in stoppage time to hand Villarreal the key win. That put an end to their four-game winless run that has seen them lose to Valencia, Unionistas and Las Palmas. The loss to Unionistas, a third-tier side, dumped the Villarreal out of the Copa del Rey. Before traveling to Barcelona they however picked up a draw against Mallorca in the league, kickstarting their turnaround.

Cadiz are hoping to claw themselves out of the relegation zone with a win over Villareal despite being the underdogs. The visitors are on a terrible run of form that has seen them fail to win any of their last 11 games in all competitions. This run has also seen them get dumped out of the Copa del Rey by fourth-tier side Arandina. In their last match however, Cadiz earned a hard-fought point against Athletic Bilbao that took them closer to safety. The visitors have struggled in front of goal this season having netted a league low 15 goals. In their recent away games, Cadiz have however improved in attack, scoring in five of the last seven matches.
