Their last four home league matches have all been won with 14 goals scored. Both teams got on the scoresheet in three of those matches. Another stat that has been regularly coming up is over 2.5 goals being scored. That's come up in all but one of the last five Villarreal home league games.

Atletico Madrid begin this final La Liga fixture only a point behind second placed Real Madrid. They'd be second if they hadn't given away a 3-0 lead at Espanyol in late May. If the two sides end on level points, then it'd be Real who finish second on head-to-head results. Colchoneros will therefore need a win here and hope Real don't get a home victory over Athletic Bilbao.
