Real Valladolid begin this game in the La Liga relegation zone but a win will take them out of the bottom three. They are a place and two points from safety but their opponents, Girona, are only two places above them and also two points higher than Valladolid. The problem for Valladolid is that they have gone five league games without a win and just one victory in the last 12. They have drawn both of their last two league matches but did well to get a point from their last match away at Alaves. They trailed 2-0 in the first half but fought back to get a valuable point. Home form has seen them go six league games without a win with three being drawn. 

Girona are on a terrible run at the moment having lost their last five league games. That's seen them slide down the table to 16th and two points above the bottom three. The weekend saw them lose away to Celta de Vigo with that win taking them out of the relegation zone and up to 15th. Girona had won three of their previous five league games before this slump in form and that included a win at Real Madrid. They have won six away league games this season and only five teams in La Liga have earned more away league points than them. This is a real puzzle with both teams in poor form, Girona have the abillity to win this and a double chance on them to win or draw is the suggested bet.
