18th placed Valencia bid to build on their weekend win at Elche. They host Valladolid who are four places and five points above them. Valencia are only in the bottom three on head-to-head results with Almeria. It's tight down at the bottom and Almeria travel to 16th placed Getafe also on Wednesday. The weekend saw Valencia get three vital points with a 2-0 victory at bottom-of-the-table Elche who are all but relegated. That victory ended a run of four La Liga games without a win, three of which had been lost. Home form has seen Valencia win six La Liga matches this season but the same number has been lost. Only a point has been earned from the last two at home but the two played before that had both been won. The last four home La Liga fixtures have all seen under 2.5 goals scored in them.

Valladolid are five points above the relegation zone and have won their last two league games. Victories have come against Villarreal and Girona and those wins were much needed. Valladolid had only earned two points from their previous four games with 12 conceded in the last three. Half of those 12 came when getting thrashed 6-0 at Real Madrid. Valladolid have only won three away league games this season with just ten goals scored. Eight times this season they have failed to score in an away league game. Their last away match saw them in better form with a 2-1 win at Villarreal who have lost their last two games. A dpuble chance bet on Valladolid to win or draw is the suggested wager.
