Valencia vs Juventus Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League
by Daniel Ngulu | in Champions League Predictions
Valencia’s have three wins in their last 11 matches and all those have come in friendly matches; they played one during the international break and hit Alcoyano 3 – 0 but they could not replicate that in the league match against Real Betis, which ended goalless. After going through the three opening matches of the season without a clean sheet, perhaps the last two matches will be an indication of things changing defensively. That will however be tested to the full when Juventus tours the Mestalla, and armed with Cristiano Ronaldo who has finally found his footing at the team. Juventus have scored in each of their last nine matches and failed to score just once in the last 13 matches they have played. They have scored two goals or more in the last four matches and they will be seeking to stretch this against a Valencia side that has been strong at home; unbeaten in five and losing just once in the last 11 matches. Juventus though, have also done well away from home, with just one loss in the last 22. The Italians have eight wins in 11 Champions League away matches and in their last visit to Spain, they saw off Real Madrid 3 – 1 in a very heated game at Santiago Bernabeu. They have picked two wins, a loss and a draw in their last four trips to Spain in the Champions League and Valencia, who are returning to the competition for the first time since 2015, will be looking to inflict another loss in that run. Valencia have six wins in their last 10 Champions League matches at home but their last home game in the competition saw them fall 0 – 2 to Lyon at home. They have avoided defeat twice at home to Italian sides, drawing 0 – 0 with Internazionale in 2007 and beating AS Roma 2 – 1 in 2006. This will be the first ever meeting between the two sides.

Our Valencia vs Juventus Prediction
Valencia are making a return to the Champions League but their start to the season is not the best and will pit them as the underdogs here. They have not won any match in the season so far and they get to face a side that is on a hot streak, and more, has a Cristiano Ronaldo, who has opened his account there and has really prevailed in the Champions League, being top scorer in each of the last six seasons. It doesn’t end there, Ronaldo has =10.5ptscored 15 times in 17 games against Valencia. He has scored five goals in the last four meetings with Valencia and thus a good bet to score anytime here. Valencia have been weak in attack and though improving defensively, they stand a very slim chance of getting a clean sheet here. A 2 – 0 win for the away side holds good value here.
