Valencia have drawn two of their first three games in this group. They start the matchday in third place and two points behind Manchester United who they still have to play at home. A win over Young Boys will take them into second place as this is the early kick-off and will put pressure on United when they play Juventus away later in the evening. With two of their last three group games at home, Valencia still have a decent chance of making it to the knock-out stages. A win here will also just about guarantee a place in the Europa League. Valencia will regret giving away a lead at Young Boys in their last group match and have drawn seven of their last ten matches in all competitions. They aren't in good form with no wins in their last seven home games and have lost three of their last four at home in the Champions League.

Young Boys are bottom of the group having lost their first two games to Manchester United and Juventus before rescuing a home point against Valencia. They are 11 points clear at the top of the Swiss League but life in this competition is a lot harder. They have only won two of their last 11 Champions League games and eight of their ten away games have ended in defeat. Their target here is to win the game and get above Valencia for the Europa League spot with their last two games against United and Juventus unlikely to produce points. Valencia aren't in great form at present and are down in 15th place in La Liga. They know a win here is imperative and with their opponents poor record the tentative bet here is on a home win.
