Valencia vs Betis Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga
by Steve Ashfield | in LaLiga Predictions
It’s a worrying time for both of these clubs. Valencia have slipped to eight in La Liga, while Real Betis are down in 13th position. The home side come into this game in poor form with no wins in their last five league and cup games. They lost to Granada in the Copa del Rey and are 4-1 down to Atalanta after the first leg of their Champions League tie. The weekend saw them lose 3-0 at Real Sociedad making it 14 goals conceded in their last five matches. Four of those games were away from home though and that’s not their strong point with seven away league defeats this season. That’s compared with a home record that is yet to see them taste defeat. Seven games have been won and six drawn. Their most recent home league match was a 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid ending a run of three straight home league clean sheets. Valencia are two points behind the final Europa League qualification spot and only five behind qualifying for the Champions League. They have no losses in their last 14 home league games, so will look to get back in winning ways this weekend.
Real Betis are bidding to complete the league double over Valencia having beaten them at home in November. They are eight points behind their opponents and the same number of points above the relegation zone. Betis are struggling for form at present with no wins in their last six league and cup games. Their most recent fixture saw them draw 3-3 at home with relegation-threatened Mallorca. They trailed and led in that exciting fixture and it’s the third draw they have had in their last four games. Only one of their last 12 away league games have been won with four of the last five being drawn. Betis have only scored twice in their last four La Liga away matches with only ten all season. Valencia need a win to boost confidence before the return game with Atalanta. Go for them to win this match.
