Valencia vs Barcelona Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga
by Daniel Ngulu | in LaLiga Predictions
Barcelona missed a chance to go top of the La Liga standings after a 2-1 loss at home to Granada and now they have a tough clash, away to Valencia. The Catalans remain third in the standings, with 71 points after blowing that chance and will be hoping to recoup the dropped points against the 14th placed Valencia, who have 36 points. The hosts are among the toughest sides to face when they play at home. In their 16 home league matches, they won six, but lost just three. They head to this clash without a win in their last five La Liga matches, having drawn three and lost two. In the five matches, both sides have scored, though Valencia have conceded two or more goals in four. Valencia haven’t led at half time in any of their last five La Liga matches, and they’ve actually trailed at some point in the game in all of them. They will like the prospect of facing Barcelona in the Catalans current predicament.
It is not yet a disaster for Barcelona but this is not the game they’d have wished for at this point. Valencia have one loss and two wins in the last six matches against Barcelona, and three have ended in draws. Barcelona haven’t beaten Valencia in the last two meetings. The two sides drew 2-2 in December and the earlier clash ended 2-0 in Valencia’s favor. In fact, Valencia have scored twice in each of their last five meetings with Barcelona, and four of them have ended in over 2.5 goals. Barcelona are still smarting from their loss to Granada then they have this tough away fixture coming right when they’ve conceded two goals in three of their last four league games. Each of their last four league matches has produced over 2.5 goals while Barca have scored 10 goals in the last five league games. They have 10 wins in the last 11 away league matches and have scored in each of the last 12 league matches on the road.

Our Valencia vs Barcelona Prediction
Barcelona have a good away record in La Liga this season, and they take on a tough Valencia side, especially when playing at home. Valencia haven’t won a lot of their home matches, and neither have they lost a lot of them. The last few matches between these two sides have seen Valencia dominate but with their recent shock, Barcelona will want to go for three points here. Valencia, being just six points above the relegation zone, will feel the urge to fight for three points too. In the end, and judging from their home and away performances, a high scoring draw looks possible.
