USA are the seeded team in this CONCACAF Gold Cup group and face Panama in their opening game. The other two teams in this group are Martinique and Nicaragua so the USA should reach the next stage. World Cup qualification hasn't been going that great for the Americans with eight points from six games and they're currently third, a point and a place ahead of their opponents here, Panama. The two sides met recently in Panama with the game ending in a 1-1 draw. USA have gone eight games unbeaten since a 4-0 hammering by Costa Rica last November. They have only lost one of their last nine games against Panama and will be confident of getting their Gold Cup campaign off to a winning start on home territory. Panama aren't in the best of form coming into this game with four games without a victory. Away form is a worry too with no wins in three in the World Cup qualifying group and just one win in the last eight. Go for the USA to get the win in this match.
