The USA are hosts and are looking to win the cup for the first time since 2013 and the chance to play in the 2021 Confederations Cup. So far in this tournament they have won their last three games after being held to a draw in their opening fixture against Panama, It hasn't been the easiest of runs beating Martinique 3-2, twice being equalized and then getting a more comfortable 3-0 win over Nicaragua. In the quarter finals two goals just before half-time got them a 2-0 win over El Salvador. That win took their unbeaten run to 12 games but the team that last beat them were Costa Rica who defeated them 4-0 at home in the World Cup qualifiers. Costa Rica won Group A with a 1-0 win over Honduras before having to come from behind to get a 1-1 draw with Canada. They clinched the group with a 3-0 win over outclassed French Guinea. In the quarter finals they needed a 77th minute own goal to get past Panama. USA have home advantage and they can get a narrow win over their opponents.
