Uruguay really have to get a win here after that 3-1 loss to Mexico in their opening match of the tournament. After both sides had a player sent off it looked as if the game was heading for a draw until two late goals by Mexico won them the game. Uruguay only had 39% possession in that game and will be hoping for a lot more in this game. The two sides are certainly having contrasting World Cup qualifying campaigns. Uruguay are top and Venezuela bottom with just one point from six games. A 15th minute Martinez goal gave Venezuela the win over Jamaica but their opponents managed ten goal attempts. They certainly can't afford to let Uruguay have that many. This should see Uruguay get the win that puts them back on track with a final game against Jamaica to come.
