The Berliners’ morale is sky high after a huge derby day away victory against Hertha Berlin. It was their third Bundesliga victory in a row since the restart and took them to second in the table.Home form is impressive with a run of eight games without defeat in competitive fixtures with only Augsburg avoiding defeat. The hosts are also unbeaten in their past four home meetings with Wolfsburg, with two wins and two draws. To reach this stage of the German Cup, they have had an away win at Chemnitzer (needing extra time) and a home win over Heidenheim. 

 Wolfsburg have been in great form recently, with a strong run of six straight wins in the Bundesliga before suffering a rare defeat at the weekend at the hands of Werder Bremen leaving them seventh in the Bundesliga table. In this competition, they have beaten Carl Zeiss Jena and Braunschweig to reach this round, and while they were dealt a tough draw, they have an away record to match the challenge. The Wolfsburg outfit have a positive away record, losing only one of their last nine away fixtures, while they have scored in eight of those games.
