Union Berlin welcome Borussia Dortmund to the Stadion An der Alten Försterei on Friday night for Bundesliga action. The hosts are sixth in the table with 18 points from 12 games. Their opponents are two places ahead in fourth place on 22 points. Both sides were in action in midweek with Dortmund faring better than Union. Dortmund, playing their first match since sacking Lucien Favre, had Edin Terzic, a 38-year-old former assistant of Favre, in the dugout for the trip to Werder Bremen. Changes to the side were expected after their embarrassing 5-1 home defeat to Stuttgart at the weekend, and Terzic made them. Youssoufa Moukoko, the 16-year-old wunderkind, made his first Bundesliga start, becoming the competition's youngest-ever starter as a result. Moukoko didn't get on the scoresheet but a Dortmund team missing injured forward Erling Haaland still managed a 2-1 win with a much-improved performance. 

Fresh from holding Bayern to a 1-1 draw on Saturday, Union threw away a two-goal lead at Stuttgart on Tuesday in a 2-2 stalemate. It was their fourth successive match without a victory. Tough to beat on their patch, Union are unbeaten in nine of their last ten Bundesliga home games. The Dortmund side they face have won five of their last six away matches in all competitions, so we expect a close encounter. While Dortmund won three of their previous four meetings with Union, they lost on their only visit to their upcoming destination.
