Hellas Verona will be away to Udinese on Sunday seeking to claw their way out of the Italian Serie A relegation zone. Two points separate the two sides after 13 rounds of play with Udinese in 16th leading Verona in 19th. Udinese have recorded just one victory thus far in the league. But as they have struggled to pin teams down they have also proved difficult to beat. Gabriele Cioffi’s men have drawn a league-high eight games and this has allowed them to accumulate 11 points. They however sit just one point above the drop zone and another draw here could see them sucked into the bottom three. Le Zebrette haven’t won in their last three games and were defeated 3-1 away to Roma last time out.

Verona are reeling and haven’t won since August. They began the campaign with three successive victories but have now lost nine of their last 12 fixtures. This form has placed them as prime candidates for the drop. But as they are just one point adrift of safety, Marco Baroni’s men can claw their way out of danger with a win. Verona ended a six-game skid last time out by drawing 2-2 with Lecce at home. The Mastiffs have earned two points from their last two visits to Udine. They should therefore arrive here confident of avoiding defeat.
