Twente host Fiorentina, in one of the most eagerly anticipated Conference League playoffs matchups. With the Italians emerging as 2-1 winners in Florence, it is still all to play for both teams, as the stakes get higher. The Dutch side did not have a game during the weekend, in order to better prepare for their second leg. They are in electric form however, with their defeat in Italy putting a stop to an impressive eleven game unbeaten streak. It has been a prolific run of games for Twente, who are adept scorers and have shown that by managing to score at least three goals in eight of their last eleven. It is thus their attack which they hope will be their saving grace, but their defence that could undo them. They have only kept two clean sheets in their last nine, and just one in their last five at home. However, they should draw encouragement from their impressive home record, which has seen them lose just once in their last fourteen on home soil. 

Fiorentina took an important first step after beating their Dutch rivals 2-1 at the Artemio Franchi, making a decisive first step for the group stages of the Conference League. Probably with their minds in the second leg, the Viola got stuck in a scoreless draw away at Empoli at the weekend, in a drab affair which saw Fiorentina failing to break down their opponents even when they got reduced to ten men. It was however their third unbeaten competitive game of the season, last tasting defeat at the end of May. When it comes to their away record, the visitors should be quite alarmed. That is because they are winless in their last six outings, losing five of those and blanking in three of them. What should work in their favour ahead of this tough second leg is the rate at which they score, having managed to pull one back in nine of their last twelve competitive away games.
