Twente vs Fenerbahce Istanbul Prediction & Betting Tips - Europa League

Dutch side Twente will be eyeing another good result in the Europa League when they host Fenerbahce. The Tukkers will welcome Jose Mourinho’s Yellow Canaries for this Thursday match. Read on for our prediction. 

After spending over a decade out of the main draw of a UEFA club competition, Twente pulled one of the shock results. They showed no signs of stage fright at Old Trafford as they played to a 1-1 draw with Manchester United. 

They didn't rest easy after that; in their next game, an Eredivisie clash, Twente beat NAC Breda 1-0. The past few matches have represented a solid run for the hosts. They’ve kept three clean sheets in the last four matches. 

Three of Twente’s last five matches against Fenerbahce ended in wins for the Turkish side. The visitors knowing this, will seek to push them to the limit. 

The last two of these meetings came in the Conference League in 2023 and Fenerbahce won both, 6-1 on aggregate. The Turks have been a different side since their elimination from the Champions League. 

After that loss to Lille away from home, Fenerbahce have only lost one of the nine matches that followed. Six of those matches were won by Fenerbahce, who will also be looking to build on their Match Day 1 victory here. 

Both sides had a man sent off as Fenerbahce triumphed 2-1 in that match. They would then proceed to keep a first clean sheet in three in a 2-0 away win at Antalyaspor.
