Group B of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers Africa region is delicately poised, as far as Tunisia’s chances are concerned. They will be hosting Zambia in a game they need to at least match Equatorial Guinea’s result against Mauritania. Tunisia, on 10 points, are joint top with Equatorial Guinea, while Zambia are third on seven points. The last two games haven’t come with the best results for Tunisia, drawing with bottom placed Mauritania then losing 1-0 to Equatorial Guinea. They’ve failed to score in the last two matches but those were away games; at home they have a better run. Tunisia have four clean sheets in five matches and at home, have three straight wins. Zambia ended their winless run in fine style ahead of this game, beating Mauritania 4-0. As they wrap their campaign, nothing much can come from it, largely because of an inferior goal difference. They lost 2-0 at home to Tunisia and their win over Mauritania is their only clean sheet in five matches while they have conceded twice in two of their last four matches. In World Cup qualification, Zambia have four wins only in the last 10 away matches and have only won once in their seven meetings with Tunisia.
