Tunisia vs Mali Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by Daniel Ngulu | in World Cup Predictions
Tunisia have been to five World Cup finals and they are gunning for their sixth appearance as they prepare to host Mali in the return leg of their third round 2022 World Cup qualifier. Going into this game, Tunisia lead 1-0 from the game played last week and will hope to hold on. They need just a draw and though their run hasn’t been perfect ahead of this game, this seems a mission they can complete. They have three wins in the last five matches but haven’t been scoring a lot of goals. In the last 10, they’ve scored more than a goal in just two. In World Cup qualification, Tunisia have done well ahead of this game; they’ve lost just once in the last 15, winning 11 times. At home, they have a 16-game unbeaten run, with 13 wins in it.
Mali were shambolic in the first half of their game at home to Tunisia and will hope for a better performance away from home. Moussa Sissako scored an own goal after 36 minutes and four minutes later he was sent off. Though they recovered to give a good push in the second half, they found Tunisia really solid. Their wait for a first ever appearance at the FIFA World Cup is based on their performance here; they have to win by at least two unanswered goals. That could be a problem here, because in their last six matches they’ve managed more than a goal just once. They go into this game without a goal in their last two matches though they’ve lost just once in the last 10 matches in World Cup qualification. In three of their last five away matches in World Cup qualification, Mali have failed to score.

Our Tunisia vs Mali Prediction
Tunisia have the edge going into this game; they have a 1-0 lead and will be at home cheered on by a partisan crowd. This is theirs for the taking, though Mali have the caliber of players to turn this around. One thing that’s for sure is that these two sides haven’t been scoring a lot lately and under 2.5 goals here can pass.
