18th placed Troyes are looking destined to be relegated to Ligue 2. It could even happen this weekend if they lost to leaders PSG and other results go against them. They are ten points from safety with just four games remaining and with an inferior goal difference. Their full club title ends with the word Champagne but they have little to celebrate at present. Their most recent league game saw them lose 1-0 at home to Nice going behind after just two minutes. They have now gone 16 league games without a victory, the last one coming against Strasbourg on the second day of 2023. Ten of their last 13 Ligue 1 fixtures have ended in defeat and it's just a matter of time before their relegation is confirmed. Home games have only produced just one win and that was last August against bottom-of-the-table Angers who are already relegated.

PSG begin the weekend five points clear at the top of Ligue 1. They have a far superior goal difference to second placed Marseille with Lens in third, six points behind PSG. it's not been a good week for them with a home loss to Lorient and then the problems with Lionel Messi who won't be playing in this game. The 3-1 home loss last Sunday ended a run of three league games without defeat. Three of their last six league fixtures have ended in defeat but all of those were on home soil. PSG have won 12 away league games this season including the last four played. The reverse fixture against Troyes saw PSG win 4-3 after trailing 1-0 and 2-1. Go for them to get a vital win in this game.
